“A Pause in the City That Never Sleeps” by Sebastian Errazuriz (2015)

Sleeping City 1

Times Square New York City, being one of the most visited areas in the entire world, is adorned with advertisements to compliment the commercialized life style of natives and visitors alike. The overwhelming mecca of storefronts and office buildings is currently being disrupted every evening of January 2015 when a 3-minute clip of Sebastian Errazuriz takes over a majority of the advertising space.

By presenting himself simply looking around and yawning, Errazuriz causes thousands of onlookers to pause for at least a moment whether it be to watch the screens and wonder what the hell is going on, or to yawn themselves. Read more about Sebastian’s work here.
