“Women in Politics” Concept by Dan Russo, Claire Hentschker and Luca Damasco
A camera crew stops Pittsburghers as they walk down the street. A crude facial recognition program matches each participant to their “Pittsburgh Congress Look Alike” only to show that none of the matches are women. Here is a mock up of the scene. In order to cover the wall of the Mellon Institute we will need to use two Casio XJ140 projectors in parallel connected to the same computer from about 29 feet away. By using the corners of the Mellon institute we will have a very large surface to project on, directly intersecting Fifth Avenue, one of Oakland’s busiest streets. Here is an image of the area at night. It is lit well enough to not discourage participants, but also dim enough to allow our projectors to properly cast their images. |
