“I Wish This Was” by Candy Chang (2010)

After Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans was filled with vacant lots, buildings, and shop front. Candy Chang wishes to change this and refill the empty spaces. Chang created “I Wish This Was” stickers that could be posted anywhere. Any person passing by could fill out one of the stickers to say what they wish was in place of the disused spaces. The project has then grown beyond New Orleans and can now be seen globally.
