“α (alpha) pulse” by Carsten Nicolai (2014)

a alpha pulse is a projection/audio performance created by German artist Carsten Nicolai for The Art Basel Show in Hong Kong in 2014. Primarily focusing on the International Commerce Center building in Kowloon Harbor, alpha pulse simulates neural feedback through rippling pulses of light (on large mounted LED screens surrounding the tower). The audio component to the work was accessible via a mobile app; the visual component was visible from a large part of the city, given the height of the ICC.
