“Contemplation and Removal” by Guy de Bree (2015)

Contemplation and Removal is a chair. The basic principle of the piece is that I would put the chair in a mildly difficult place to reach, in this case one of the plinths outside CMU’s Fine Arts Building. The chair is a slightly beaten up folding chair, which I acquired second hand. It is of almost no value beyond its usefulness as a chair. I did not acquire permission to put the chair there, and I imagine it will stay there until somebody removes it or I decide I want my chair back.
